The mountains

For those wishing to tackle a more demanding trail, an area not far from the centre of Sarteano has 12 trails for hiking and mountain biking, which go around and over Monte Cetona. Here the trails are interrupted by small villages and springs that have provided for a rich and diverse nature and separate the valley of the river Orcia (which starts here) and Val di Chiana.
