Città della Pieve

Just 21 km from Parco delle Piscine, Città della Pieve is characterised by the intense colour of its bricks and is rich in culture: visit the church of San Bartolomeo and San Francesco, the Rocca with its five square towers, the Duomo and ancient parish church with work by Perugino. In August visitors can watch the Palio del Terzieri, a procession in Renaissance costumes inspired by the works of Perugino. Be sure to try the saffron, typical local product grown since the thirteenth century.
